A winter holiday in and around Schenna offers the perfect blend of activities and fun. You can spend your days at the Meran 2000 ski area, or venture out on snowshoes to explore snow-covered pastures and go in search of mountain huts. Or else you can enjoy the pleasures of relaxing in the sauna and the spa.
The lift up to the Meran 2000 skiing and hiking area is only four kilometres away from our apartments. Ski enthusiasts can enjoy 45 km of beautifully maintained ski runs, and then relax in a cosy mountain restaurant or out on a sunny terrace. A skiing holiday at Meran 2000 is always full of fun and excitement.
Or maybe you prefer a bit of ice-skating? From the end of November until the beginning of January, a big ice-skating rink is set up in the middle of Schenna. The skate hire stand will be able to provide you with just the right equipment. There's also a booth selling drinks.
If you enjoy snowshoeing through a silent and pristine winter landscape, the Meran 2000 ski area is just the place for you. There are many different trails with varying degrees of difficulty, ensuring enjoyment and satisfaction for all.
From the end of November until 6 January, the charming spa town of Meran holds its traditional Christmas market. Various traders and craftsmen offer original Christmas gift ideas, many of which are handmade. There's also the chance to sample some typical South Tyrolean specialities. And as it is winter and Christmas-time, a glass of hot mulled wine is the perfect way to warm the body and cheer the spirit.
The Meran Spa Centre, with its range of indoor and outdoor pools, saunas and Turkish baths, is considered one of the best wellness centres in the Alps. Pamper your body and spirit, and enjoy one of the many treatments on offer: you will certainly not regret it.
